Dear Friends,

The Lavender Hill Shop begins MAY HOURS this week: Thursday through Saturday 10 am to 4 pm

Plant Sales:

On Thursday, May 4th,  we will begin lavender plant sales! All plants are propagated from our field plants and grown in our farm greenhouse. They are available in 3.5 inch square pots for $6.50 ea.  The following varieties are available while supplies last:

Hybrid lavandin varieties:

'Grosso', 'Super', and 'Gros Bleu'

English Lavender varieties:

'Folgate' and 'Royal Velvet'

May is a great time for planting, but be sure to put your new plants in a protected place like an outside porch or patio for a week to acclimate them to being outside before you plant them in the ground. Watch the forecast, and cover or bring inside, any new greenhouse-grown plants (even species that are winter hardy, like lavender) if temperatures are forecasted to be below 40 deg. F.

THE LAVENDER HILL SHOP:

The shop is fully stocked with all our lavender products plus lots of gift bag sets ready for Mothers Day gifting, or splurging on yourself or a friend.  Our gift bags are a great value too, as the products in them are discounted!

U-PICK LAVENDER SCHEDULE:

The 2017 U-Pick lavender season is scheduled to start Monday June 26th and go as long as there are blooms to pick (usually through July).  During this time, for the cost of $5 a bunch, you are allowed to cut your own lavender bunches in designated areas using our scissors.  A bunch is measured by the amount you can fasten in the twist-tie we provide.  Because we have 8 different lavender varieties that do not all bloom at the same time, we designate which areas to pick based upon availability and readiness. We also reserve certain areas for our own production needs.

PHOTOGRAPHY & PAINTING:

Customers are welcome to bring their cameras and canvases with them and take pictures or paint in the field during our regular open hours. We just ask that you credit our farm, and location, when sharing or posting online or publishing any photo or painting of our farm.  We ask you to be respectful of our other customers, and of our property and privacy. Our mission is to provide quality products and experiences to all of our customers.

Thanks so much for your patronage!

Martha
