Dear Friends,

The Lavender Hill Shop is open this week Friday and Saturday 10 am-4 pm, for all your lavender product needs.

Starting next week MAY HOURS begin: Thursday through Saturday 10 am to 4 pm

Plant Sales:

Spring has been heating up, and so has our greenhouse. On Thursday, May 5th,  we will begin lavender plant sales! All plants are propagated from our field plants and grown in our farm greenhouse. They are available in 2.5 inch square pots for $5 ea.  The following varieties are available while supplies last:

Hybrid lavandin varieties:

'Grosso', 'Super', and 'Gros Bleu'

English Lavender varieties:

'Folgate', 'Royal Velvet', 'Royal Purple', 'Loddon Blue', 'Imperial Gem'

May is a great time for planting, but be sure to watch the forecast and cover any new greenhouse-grown plants (even species that are winter hardy, like lavender) if temperatures are forecasted to be below 40 deg. F.

The 2016 U-Pick lavender season is scheduled to start Saturday June 25th and go as long as there are blooms to pick (usually through July).  During this time, for the cost of $5 a bunch, you are allowed to cut your own lavender bunches in designated areas using our scissors.  A bunch is measured by the amount you can fasten in the 6 in. twist-tie we provide.  Because we have 8 different lavender varieties that do not all bloom at the same time, we designate which areas to pick based upon availability and readiness. We also reserve certain areas for our own production needs.

Customers are welcome to bring their cameras with them and take pictures in the field during our regular open hours. We require that you credit our farm, and location, when sharing or posting online or publishing any photo taken on our farm.   We ask you to be respectful of our other customers and our property, and we reserve the right to ask you to refrain from any activity that we believe is not in keeping with that policy or to ask you to leave. Permission to photograph our farm outside of our regular hours is determined on a case by case basis, and requires advance approval, and a fee will be charged. Our mission is to provide quality products and experiences to all of our customers.

Thanks so much for your patronage!

Martha Wilczynski
