Lavender Honey (produced on our farm)

Our lavender honey is a true artisan, varietal honey produced by honeybees kept in hives by our lavender field.  We collect the honey produced during lavender bloom time, strain and bottle for pure raw honey excellence.  Honeybees prefer lavender to other plants flowering in the area due to the high quality and quantity of nectar available in close proximity to the hive. 

This honey has a wonderful light, floral character and a sweet-tart finish that is unique to lavender honey.  Our honey compares well with high quality lavender honey produced in France.  Try it in tea and on scones, biscuits, or with fruit to fully enjoy its delicate flavor.

Lavender Honey Gelato made by Palazzolo's Gelato of Fennville, MI is made with the highest quality ingredients available.  You'll find their gelato in fine restaurants all over the Lake Michigan Shore area and many metro like Chicago and Detroit- but not in grocery stores and most likely not the Lavender-honey flavor.  It's simply out of this world!

We sell this premium gelato in 16 oz. cups for only $4.95!  That's about what you'd pay for a 6 oz. cup in a restaurant. You simply must try it.

Lavender is used to flavor all sorts of recipes from sweet to savory.  Not all varieties of lavender taste good though so beware!  Some have a strong, unpleasant camphorous taste and and others have little flavor at all.  We select varieties of lavender that are the sweetest and most flavorful for cooking.  We use no pesticides, and sift out leaves, stems and dust before packaging.  A little goes a long way.  Check out our recipe page to find lots of recipes using culinary lavender such as chocolate-lavender brownies, lavender-buttermilk scones, or even lavender-dijon salad dressing.
