Farm description

Lavender Hill Farm is located in the scenic, rolling hills of Berrien County in southwest Michigan. We specialize in growing and selling lavender and our handmade lavender products. With over 3000 lavender plants, of eight varieties, we have lavender in bloom from mid-June till mid-July. Please join us during during lavender bloom time and enjoy the enchanting scent in a glorious setting. Our farm shop is open one day a week or by appointment, from March thru early December. Check out our event calendar for days and hours.
In addition to the lavender, we raise sheep, honeybees, and beginning in 2009 we are growing black currants and raspberries. Check back for updates on these and other offerings.
Our farming philosophy is to grow things using minimal inorganic chemical inputs, using natural means for fertilizing, pest and weed control as much as possible. We are also working on ecological restoration projects on our 30 acre farm. A 2.25 acre native wildflower and grass planting and restoration is in the works to help create and preserve native pollinator habitat which is so important for our food supply. We are continually learning and trying new things to help make the environment better for all.
