Starting Memorial Day The Lavender Hill Farm Shop will start summer hours which are:  
Monday through Saturday 10 am to 4 pm until Labor Day. 
   
Our shop contains a wide variety of farm-made aromatic products containing lavender and other essential oils.  Plus we still have some of our 2012 Lavender Honey in stock, get it while supplies last, since this years crop won't be extracted from our hives until August.   The flavor (from our bees foraging on the lavender flowers)  is really something special!

Our lavender field is starting to send out buds, and our first varieties will start showing a little color in a couple of weeks!  Start planning your trip out here for U-pick lavender which officially begins on Saturday June 22nd and runs through Saturday July 13th.  We provide scissors, and twist ties to measure a bunch, and you cut your own lavender bunch for $5 each.  It's a wonderful sensory experience that only happens once a year, so it's not to be missed! Bring your friends and family and make a day of it.  We have chairs in the shade where you can sit and relax and enjoy the sights, smells and sounds.  Hope to see you here!

In honor of warmer weather, we are announcing additional Spring hours at The Lavender Hill Shop:

Starting this week we will be open Fridays and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. 


Find Lavender Hill Farm at the Market:

This week I started as a Tuesday/Thursday vendor at The Granger Farmers Market on SR 23 at Bittersweet in Granger, IN  (address is 12435 Adams Rd., Granger, IN).      Lavender Hill Farm will have a booth at this wonderful indoor market every Tuesday and Thursday through the end of May. Market hours are 3 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday and Thursday.  Check their website for more offerings: grangerfarmersmarket.com


We will be vending at the Chesterton European Market once a month this season starting on May 18th.  Other dates we plan to be there include:  June 8th, July 20th, August 17th, September 28th, October 19th. Those of you in that area may wish to order ahead and pick up at the market since we will not be able to display our lotions, soaps or balms at Chesterton (Management thinks there is too much of that type of product there already).  We will bring our Lavender bunches, sachets, lavender water and essential oil, and kitchen Sprays, bath & massage oil, insect repellant, and the like.  Please come out and show us your support!

Spring is a busy time at Lavender Hill Farm!  We are preparing areas to plant an additional 600 English lavender plants to help meet customer demand for bunches and buds, and oil, moving some older plants to appropriate spacing, and mulching the field for weed control. Though we sometimes have requests for them, we do not produce or sell plants at this time.

Those of you already familiar with our Lavender Bath & Massage oil, know that its blend of emollient oils: Sesame, Rice Bran, Sweet Almond, Jojoba, and Apricot Kernel oils absorb easily, leaving the skin with a soft, velvety feeling. It's great as a moisturizer or for use as a massage oil or to put in the bath. 

Our special blend of lavender essential oils in this product promote calm & relaxation. Now with the addition of Vetiver essential we take this product to a new level. Vetiver oil, with its soft, sweet woodsy aroma,  is also said to be useful for calming and relaxation and in addressing anxiety, anger and burnout. In addition, though lavender's scent is useful as a top or middle note in a fragrance blend (the scent doesn't tend to linger for very long), Vetiver is a bottom note, anchoring a fragrance and giving it more staying power.  We think you will love this blend!

Though it doesn't look much like spring today, our spring hours begin this Saturday, March 16th, when the farm shop will start being open every Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.   To celebrate spring we have a special on all Kitchen & Bathroom Cleaning sprays through March (including web orders). All 6 scents are 20% off!  If you haven't tried these heavenly smelling cleaners now is the time!  They are made with refreshing, pure essential oils blended in a solution for cleaning, air freshening and disinfecting.

As a special treat, if you come out the the farm you may see some of our new spring lambs bouncing around!
For those who can't make it out to the farm shop on Saturdays we are open by appointment, and we also offer an on-line shopping cart on our website for your convenience.
